Specialist/Case Manager — South

MARC, Inc., an established non-profit organization seeks a self-directed, flexible, and caring individual to fill our full-time (40 hrs/wk) Specialist position.  This individual will provide supervision and direct service to adults with developmental and other related disabilities in a facility-based based environment.

Work with individuals with disabilities to assess needs, strengths, and capabilities of individuals with developmental disabilities. Provide support, instruction, advocacy, transportation, and personal care to consumers. Provide advocacy, build community participation and support, and case management. Develop program goals, team objectives, individual schedules, and actively problem solve.

Participate in Recreation and leisure activities with consumers with disabilities in a center-based setting by doing arts & crafts, music, and outings in the community. Participate in the development of the objectives of ISP in a proactive, consistent and individualized manner.

Must possess the ability to function and communicate effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, parents/guardians, other service providers, employers and MARC Staff. Adhere to proper lifting procedures when performing transfers and assist in material handling activities to include repetitive lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as needed.

Applicant must be able to work independently and in a team setting.  This individual will also effectively communicate in a professional manner with consumers, parents, other service providers, community service organizations, employers, and other MARC staff.

Associate degree preferred.  Basic knowledge of developmental disabilities, including personal care needs and how they affect basic life activities is required. Applicant must possess valid WI driver’s license, and show proof of insurance.

Starting wage is $13.68/hour. The hourly wage will increase to $14.11 after 6 months of employment.

Specialist/Case Manager — Mt. Horeb

MARC, Inc., an established non-profit organization seeks a self-directed, flexible, and caring individual to fill our full-time (35 hrs/wk) Specialist position.  This individual will provide supervision and direct service to adults with developmental and other related disabilities in a facility-based/supported employment based environment.

Other primary responsibilities will include (not all-inclusive):  assess the needs, strengths, and capabilities of individuals with developmental disabilities; research, develop, and implement instructional strategies; cooperate in problem solving in order to meet the needs of MARC consumers; and advocate for adults with developmental disabilities.

Applicant must be able to work independently and in a team setting.  This individual will also effectively communicate in a professional manner with consumers, parents, other service providers, community service organizations, employers, and other MARC staff.

Personal Care Assistant (2) — East

MARC, Inc., an established non-profit organization seeks two self-directed, flexible and caring individuals to fill our full-time (35, 30 hrs/week) Personal Care Assistant positions at our east Madison location.  This individual will provide supervision and direct care service to adults with developmental and other related disabilities in a facility-based setting. The candidate will perform tasks essential to personal care and will encourage maximum independence in self-care.

Applicant must be able to work independently and in a team setting.  This individual will also effectively communicate in a professional manner with consumers, parents, other service providers, community service organizations and employers and other MARC staff.

Basic knowledge of developmental disabilities, including personal care needs and how they affect basic life activities is required. Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Hourly wage is $12.61.

Employment Instructor (2) — East

MARC, Inc., an established non-profit organization seeks two self-directed, flexible and caring individuals to fill full-time, (35, 37.5 hrs/week) Employment Instructor positions.  These individuals will provide supervision and direct service to adults with developmental disabilities and other related disabilities to consumers at community job sites.

Other primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing programs based on client ISP’s, instructing consumers in the facility and community environments.

Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs. Applicant must possess a valid WI driver’s license and show proof of automobile insurance.

Starting wage is $12.82/hour. The hourly wage increases to $13.19 after 6 months of employment.
